Lozano Smith Hosts ACSA Superintendents Academy

For Immediate Release

Fresno, CA (October 9, 2009) - ACSA's intensive seven-week Superintendents Academy will be held at the Fresno offices of Lozano Smith. Starting in the month of September, aspiring superintendents will meet monthly for presentations and discussion of education management theory and practice. Major topics include The Superintendency, District Management, Human Relations, Instructional Leadership, and Policies and Procedures.

Lozano Smith founding shareholder Mike Smith kicked off the Academy on September 25, 2009 with Part 1 of the topic: "Laws as They Apply to the Superintendency." Shareholder David Moreno will wrap up the series with Part 2 of that topic on March 13, 2010. Other sessions will be conducted by experienced superintendents.

The Academy is directed by Dr. Walt Buster, Executive Director of the Central Valley Educational Leadership Institute (CVELI).
