Event Single

Details

Returning to school site based education after months of distance learning may pose as challenging to students with exceptional needs, as well as special education staff. Part 2 of Lozano Smith's COVID series will discuss practices and procedures you can implement now, and over the summer months, to ensure that students and staff are best prepared to continue distance learning, if necessary, and return to the classroom when the time comes. This webinar will provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to help your district continue to serve individuals with exceptional needs, and prevent and protect against due process complaints or requests for compensatory education. Attendees will gain a step-by-step guidance related to determinations of whether or not compensatory education is warranted, when schools resume in-person education.
