Doctor prescriptions for Section 504 Plans and similar conundrums are addressed in this back-to-basics presentation on Section 504. The two, primary obligations under Section 504--providing equal access and a free appropriate public education--are discussed, with a step-by-step tour through the FAPE process as the focus. Analyzing other civil rights laws and special education in relation to Section 504 gives participants a working knowledge of their legal obligations and best practices for ensuring compliance.
