Selina Ayala-Patlán is an Associate in Lozano Smith's Monterey Office. Ms. Ayala-Patlán's practice focuses on assisting public agency clients in labor and employment, investigations, and governance matters.

Experience

Ms. Ayala-Patlán assists clients with matters related to employee relations, investigations, Public Records Act, Board governance, and special education. Ms. Ayala-Patlán has a long history working for school districts and institutions of higher education assisting students and working closely with administration. Prior to her admission to the California State Bar, Ms. Ayala-Patlán worked as a senior associate for a governmental and public relations firm representing K-14 districts and public agencies, specializing in developing and executing community outreach and communications plans. She also brings to the firm direct student service experience, having most recently managed a caseload of over 400 underrepresented and low-income students for a federally funded grant program.

Education

Ms. Ayala-Patlán earned her Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law where she was an instructor for Street Law International. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Southern California.
