Lozano Smith Elects New Managing Partner

Walnut Creek, California, (January 6, 2015) - Lozano Smith, LLP, one of California's leading education and public agency law firms, has named Karen M. Rezendes Tannehill, Managing Partner. Ms. Rezendes Tannehill succeeds Gregory Wedner who will continue to serve as the firm's chief litigator in addition to various leadership positions within the firm.

As Managing Partner, Ms. Rezendes Tannehill will be responsible for overseeing the firm including client services, long-term planning, firm operations, and attorney development to assure that Lozano Smith continues in its position as the premier law firm representing public agencies. She will maintain her very active board governance and labor and employment practice, focusing on preventive measures and positive labor relations.

Ms. Rezendes Tannehill received her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law. In addition to her law firm experience, she has also served as an arbitrator, hearing officer, pro tem Superior Court Judge, and Director of Human Resources and General Legal Counsel for a County Office of Education and a K-12 public school district. She will be the keynote speaker at the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Negotiators' and Negotiation Teams' Symposium, The Bridge to Student Success, in San Diego, California, January 14-16, 2015.
