EGUSD partners with Lozano Smith to host Affordable Care Act Forum
The forum will offer school districts an opportunity to learn about the latest information on the Affordable Care Act as it relates to K-12 districts. This forum is intended to provide information for Sacramento public school officials and key bargaining group representatives. Forum attendees had the chance to submit questions to be discussed when they registered for the forum.
The forum will be moderated by Karen Rezendes, Attorney at Law for Lozano Smith. Forum presenters will include:
- John Newman - Executive Director, Kaiser Permenente

The Affordable Care Act has many components. This act will expand health insurance coverage in every state across the country, establishes a Health Insurance Marketplace, increases access to Medicaid, provides new coverage options for young adults, makes prescription drugs affordable for seniors and cover preventable services with no deductible or co-pay, among other benefits.
