Recognized by the California Association of Local Economic Development with an Award of Merit, this session explores a school facilities agreement between a district, city and developer that funded a school and community amenities without relying on traditional financing. Presenters will explore creative strategies for leveraging statutory fees, joint use and diverse financing tools to deliver facilities that benefit students and the broader community. This workshop addresses governance and policy considerations, community expectations and ways to reach agreement to meet the interests of students, the community and development.
