Overview

Arvinder “Arvi” Kaur is an Associate in Lozano Smith’s Sacramento Office, where her practice is primarily focused on municipal law representing public agencies throughout California.

Experience

Ms. Kaur advises public agencies on a broad range of municipal law matters. She has experience serving as legal counsel to city departments, boards, and commissions on issues involving governance, public contracting, procurement, conflicts of interest, Brown Act and Public Records Act compliance, housing and homelessness initiatives, and infrastructure financing.

She drafts and reviews ordinances, resolutions, contracts, leases, and other municipal documents, and regularly provides strategic guidance on complex local government matters. Arvi also has experience representing public entities in administrative and court proceedings, conducting investigations involving Government Code section 1090 and Political Reform Act issues, and advising on election and campaign finance compliance matters.

Education

Ms. Kaur earned her Juris Doctor, with distinction, from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. She also holds a Master of Arts in Education from Alverno College and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Education, from the University of California, Berkeley.
