Overview
Talia S. Nascimento is an Associate in Lozano Smith's Walnut Creek office. Ms. Nascimento’s practice focuses on assisting school districts with a variety of labor and employment, investigations, and student matters.
Experience
Ms. Nascimento has experience in a broad range of education law through her position as a law clerk and attorney with Lozano Smith. She is skilled in legal research and analysis, labor negotiations preparation, drafting investigation reports and findings, and preparing responses to Civil Rights Department complaints. She also supports clients on charter school petition matters and Title IX investigations.
Education
Ms. Nascimento received her Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she also earned a labor and employment law certificate. She also received CALI Awards in both Legal Research and Writing and Employee Benefits (ERISA.) She was a staffer in Volume 59 of the University of San Francisco Law Review, and her comment “Who Controls California’s Schools: How State Governance Structure Impacts Education” was also published in Volume 59 of the USF Law Review. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Sociology from Pepperdine University.
