Matthew Mendoza is an Associate in Lozano Smith's Sacramento Office. Mr. Mendoza’s practice is dedicated to representing public agencies in matters involving litigation, facilities, and business.

Experience

Mr. Mendoza represents public agencies in litigation, with experience managing numerous cases in state and federal court. He drafts and responds to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests; conducts and defends depositions; argues motions; and negotiates settlements.

His facilities and business work includes developing and negotiating complex contracts for large-scale infrastructure projects, drafting and reviewing procurement documents, and coordinating with stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver high-value design-build and professional services agreements. Mr. Mendoza is skilled in contract negotiation, and redlining and quality assurance for multi-million-dollar public works projects.

Education

Mr. Mendoza earned his Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law where he was a staff editor for the Ohio State University Business Law Journal, 2016-2018. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California Los Angeles.
