Laurie Avedisian Selected as President of the Fresno County Bar Association and Promoted to Partner at Lozano Smith
Fresno, CA (January 10, 2013) - Lozano Smith is pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2013, Fresno attorney Laurie A. Avedisian has been promoted to Partner and also commenced her role as President of the Fresno County Bar Association.
Ms. Avedisian takes on a number of new roles this year beginning with her commitment to the community as President of the Fresno County Bar Association. She will help direct the great diversity of programs, services and information available through the bar association to ultimately serve the needs of the members, the judiciary and the community. At Lozano Smith, Ms. Avedisian is currently the co-chair of the firm's Local Government Practice Group and serves as Assistant City Attorney for the cities of Coalinga, Firebaugh and Parlier.
Ms. Avedisian assists clients with a range of legal advice and services in all aspects of municipal law including real property acquisitions, bidding and construction, government liability and issues related to former redevelopment agencies, including successor agencies and oversight boards. Ms. Avedisian earned her J.D. degree from the University of San Diego School of Law (cum laude) in 2003. She earned a B.S. from California State University, Fresno in 2001.
