Overview

Katherine Woznick is an Associate in Lozano Smith's Sacramento office. Ms. Woznick primarily assists in legal issues related to special education, and also works with clients on student and governance matters.

Experience

Ms. Woznick advises clients on their legal obligations under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and other state and federal laws. She also regularly drafts due process complaints, settlement agreements, and prior written notices for clients. Ms. Woznick also assists with California Public Records Act requests.

Education

Ms. Woznick earned her J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law where she served on the Executive Board of the Business Law Journal and Co-Chair of the Native American Law Student Association. She also worked at the California Department of Transportation as a legal extern. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of the Pacific, where she was a member of Alpha Phi Omega.
