Asha J. Lopez is an Associate in Lozano Smith's Sacramento office. Her practice is focused on labor and employment legal issues affecting public agencies.
Ms. Lopez is experienced in various aspects of employment law. She has worked on an array of civil matters, including but not limited to: breach of contract, unlawful detainers, personal injury, and probate litigation cases. She also has experience preparing civil cases for jury trial, drafting and finalizing motions, including motions for summary and motions to compel, conducting depositions, and advocating for clients at settlement conferences and law and motion calendars.
Ms. Lopez earned her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. While in law school, she was a member of the Legislative Law Clinic and served as an Executive Board Member for the Charles Houston Bar Association, and an Executive Board Member and Historian for the Black Law Students Association. Ms. Lopez earned her B.A. in Philosophy & African American Studies from the University of California, Davis.
