Claire J. Chang is an Associate in Lozano Smith's Fresno office. She is dedicated to serving public agencies in all capacities, and her practice focuses on the municipal, labor and employment, litigation, and student areas of public law.
Ms. Chang assists county and municipal clients in general legal services. She also assists school districts on all matters concerning labor and employment and students.
Prior to joining Lozano Smith, Ms. Chang was a litigation attorney with the County of Fresno. There, she successfully tried cases before juries and litigated in evidentiary hearings and pre- and post-trial motions.
During law school, Ms. Chang externed for Orange County Counsel's Office, California Army National Guard's Judge Advocate General's Corps, the Superior Court of California with the Hon. Joanne Motoike and the Hon. Kirk Nakamura.
Ms. Chang earned her law degree from Whittier Law School, where she was a member of the Trial Advocacy Honors Board, the Student Bar Association, and the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. Ms. Chang received her bachelor's degree in Journalism with a minor in Communications from California State University, Long Beach, where she wrote for the university's campus newspaper and Times Community Newspaper of Los Angeles Times.
