Jimmy Macias is an Associate in Lozano Smith's Monterey office. His practice primarily focuses on the labor and employment, and litigation aspects of public agency law.
Mr. Macias is well versed in unfair labor practices, litigation before administrative law judges, enforcement of claims, and conducting investigations. Mr. Macias most recently worked for the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) where he represented the DLSE in Superior Court, Court of Appeal, and Federal Court matters.
Mr. Macias earned his J.D. from University of Notre Dame Law School, where he served as the Treasurer of the Hispanic Law Students Association, and was a member of Delta Theta Phi and the Notre Dame Legal Aid Clinic. Mr. Macias earned his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, where he served as a member of the Latino Leaders Council. Mr. Macias is fluent in Spanish.
