        STUDENT COMPLAINTS OF SEX AND GENDER-BASED DISCRIMINATION AND
        SEXUAL HARASSMENT (INCLUDING SEXUAL VIOLENCE) UNDER TITLE IX*




            I    ASSESS THE COMPLAINT: PRE-INVESTIGATION

                 A.      Complaints Against Students and Employees


                   If the Allegation is …        Action to Take…
                                                 1.  Contact the Title IX Coordinator
                   Gender or sex-based           2.  Contact Student Services (for complaints against
                   discrimination                    other students) or Human Resources (for complaints
                                                     against employees)
                                                 1.  Call Child Protective Services or law enforcement
                                                     immediately if there is a reasonable suspicion of
                                                     abuse or neglect; file a written report within 36
