*For the “just cause” exception, the legislative body should generally have advance notice and be able to
add remote attendance language on the agenda. When this is not possible, this script may be modified
accordingly. Public agencies are encouraged to consult legal counsel when using the “just cause”
exception after the agenda is posted.
