DetailsEmployee leaves are complex and the Education Code requirements for sick leave, differential pay and reemployment further complicate personnel decisions. Kin care, parental leave, and other recent changes in the law add layers of complexity to employee leave calculations. We will discuss leave requirements for injured or ill employees, differential leave, industrial accident and illness leave, and parental leave, and how to coordinate these leaves to ensure that the district remains legally compliant.
