Student records are subject to complex and confusing laws. Schools districts can get into trouble for releasing or sharing student information, or for not releasing it, depending upon the circumstances. Together, we will review what school districts can, should and must do to comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, as well as the confidentiality provisions of the IDEA.
