From the initial decision of whether the work can be done in-house or must be formally bid, to determining subcontractor and prevailing wage requirements and evaluating change order requests, you encounter complicated legal dilemmas on a daily basis. In this presentation, an experienced facilities and construction attorney will walk you through the legal landscape, and will arm you with the knowledge and strategies to protect your district and get the job done. The focus of this workshop will be acquiring a good working knowledge of the applicable law, and identifying strategies to address the most common problems that arise – plus, knowing how to spot the issues that will make you want to call your lawyer.
