DetailsThis presentation looks at different negotiation styles and techniques that can be employed to overcome IEP obstacles typically encountered by special education staff. Participants gain not only a sound understanding of their legal obligations, but practical tips to successfully manage difficult IEP team meetings. Building IEP team consensus is the focus, with particular attention given to “hotspots” such as placement agreement, drafting goals, scheduling meetings, and consenting to related services.
