This interactive session will apply theory to reality. A District facilities manager and an attorney will present challenges from the field - such as, how do you respond to complex bid protests? Or, how do you use your contract's claims provisions to protect your District? - and will engage the audience in talking through how such challenges are met in the real world. The workshop will draw on the expertise of the presenters and of audience members too. Attendees should expect to share their experiences and to learn through discussion with others. The presentation aims to demonstrate how an understanding of public works law is applied through daily experience to the construction projects undertaken on behalf of our students.This event is reserved for school district or public agency employees only.
