Overview

This workshop will address the legal implications regarding use of personal devices and accounts for electronic communications relating to the business of public agencies. Following a recent California Supreme Court decision, the law is now settled that Public Records requests can reach into your personal devices and accounts in certain circumstances. The workshop will review how to manage this new development and best practices.

This workshop centers on best practices to manage your own technology and how to help manage your employee's use of their own devices and accounts in relation to Public Records Act requests
