This workshop provides school personnel with an overview of Title IX, with an emphasis on sexual misconduct, in both student-to-student and adult-to-student situations. Specifically, this course will define sexual misconduct (including sexual harassment) that is protected under state law and Title IX. It will also cover school employees' obligations to identify and report sexual misconduct.BR /> LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Attendees will walk away with a clear understanding of:
• Title IX requirements;
• Types of sexual misconduct and harassment;
• Student and Employee protections;
• Employee responsibilities and obligations; and
• District and employee liability.
