In the fourth session of this advanced strand, we will present three recent cases or hypotheticals. We will ask participants to work in smaller groups to identify potential issues, liability, and solutions to address difficult cases involving residency, custody and decision making authority (i.e., determining the "parent" or decision maker); un-consented IEPs, and attendance issues. This practical approach will build on the informed presented in the previous three sessions of the strand and allow for a facilitated discussion of avoiding compliance pitfalls and implementing best practices to avoid errors and liability.This event is reserved for school district or public agency employees only.
