2018 CASBO Annual Conference

The Day After Tomorrow: Post-Bond Issuance Compliance Requirements
Event Single

Details

After the cash hits your account following a bond sale, you may be so excited to deliver long-awaited projects that you miss the folks that helped you get the money - those who disappeared after your bond counsel announced, "The financing is CLOSED!" While wondering where those people went, you recall terms like bond oversight committee (BOC); tax covenants, including hedge bonds, arbitrage rebate and private use; continuing disclosure covenants (what's a dissemination agent?); and Senate Bill 1029 debt policy and annual audits. This workshop will shed light o applicable rules and regulations, providing attendees with a greater understanding of the implementation process, as well as updates on the laws, regulations and potential pitfalls. It will also provide you with answers to tax code requirements, continuing disclosure requirements and BOC involvement, while helping to prioritize project timelines and processes. You'll leave with a solid understanding of the overall process and how to navigate through related public financing implications; and you'll return to your district with practical pointers that will help you better engage in the process. Recommended for chief business officials and purchasing and facilities directors.

This event is reserved for school district or public agency employees only. Please contact Client Services for more information.
