DetailsThe passage of Assembly Bill (AB) 1266 amended the Education Code to entitle students the right to participate in programs and access facilities based upon gender identity. The presentation will cover the varying approaches to policies and best practices as they relate to AB 1266 and the rights of transgender and gender variant students, particularly with respect to design and use of facilities. Attendees will leave this presentation with not only a better understanding of AB 1266's requirements and impact, but those models of implementing this law and addressing issues impacting transgender and gender variant students that have worked best in the facilities arena.
