This presentation will include case studies regarding twice-exceptional students, including war stories. The presentation will also discuss what to do when it receives a request for a district assessment for a twice-exceptional or otherwise academically successful student, content and defensibility of assessments for academically successful students, including how to thoroughly analyze eligibility, how to handle the IEP meeting, and what to do if the child is not eligible for special education (i.e., navigating the 504 process).This event is reserved for school district or public agency employees only.
