This seminar will provide a step-by-step guide for complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), including reviewing when an employer's obli¬gation to engage in an interactive process with an employee is triggered, what the process should look like and how to document compliance with the process. We'll also discuss what to do when a doctor's note is vague, insufficient or contradictory; what accommodations are and are not reasonable; and how to handle employees who refuse to participate in the interactive process.
