Angela J. Okamura is an Associate in Lozano Smith's Walnut Creek Office. Ms. Okamura represents clients in the labor and employment aspects of education law.
Ms. Okamura has years of experience leading and assisting clients in all aspects of pre-trial work on complex cases in California state courts. She has represented clients in residential and commercial real estate, including brokerage defense, breach of fiduciary duties, fraud, non-disclosure, statutory and common law buyer and seller obligations, contract disputes and interpretation, common interest developments, real estate broker and agent obligations and regulation, construction and design defect, premises liability, and inverse condemnation. She has also assisted clients in business prosecution and defense, including corporate and partnership matters, financial elder abuse, interference with contract and business opportunities, breach of fiduciary duties; insurance defense; and legal malpractice.
Ms. Okamura received her Juris Doctor (cum laude
) from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and earned Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with an emphasis in American Politics from the University of California, San Diego. While in law school, Ms. Okamura was a Senior Notes Editor of and published in the Hastings Race & Poverty Law Journal
. She also received Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence in both Asian Pacific Americans and the Law, and Legal Research and Writing.
